Since children may enter our Religious Education program at ANY grade, these two sacraments are celebrated after two years of instruction. For those starting at First Grade, they are celebrated in 2nd grade as most of you are familiar with.

First reconciliation is celebrated in March, and First Communion is celebrated in April. They are preceded by Retreat Days and practices.

FIRST PENANCE & FIRST COMMUNION 2024

I am sure you are all wondering about WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? For your little darlings who are going to make these two big sacraments (and don’t worry those who also have to be baptized I will get something to you all for January to get all arranged).

So HOW DO YOU GET THEM READY…Well from Home – Pray with them.. At night an Our Father is a great way to get ready to sleep (for us too). A little further down I will have the ACT OF CONTRITION – the prayer for Confession – (now don’t worry they read it all together on their big day – that’s too much to ask these little guys to do in memorization).

BEST WAY TO GET THEM READY ******** TAKE THEM TO MASS!

We have Saturdays at 4PM Sundays, 7:30AM, 9AM and 11AM. Let them watch you.. Do you know who the NUMBER ! FAITH EDUCATOR IS FOR KIDS? YOU _ The PARENTS!!!

Sunday March 17 10:30-12 Noon OR Tuesday March 26 5-6:30PM

First Communion Practice (SEPARATE FROM RETREAT)

For the 10AM Group Tuesday April 23 5:15 -6:30PM

For the 12 noon  Group Wednesday  April 24 5:15 -6:30PM

FIRST COMMUNION IS SATURDAY APRIL 27 at 10 or 12 – let me know your choice

ALSO TO MARK YOUR CALENDARS MAY CROWNING SUNDAY MAY 5 at the 9AM mass – we invite all the Communion kids back in their Communion Outfits and Choose one of them to crown the Blessed Mother
